Speed, Per Display

You can now set video playback speed independently for each display, and changes apply instantly without reloading the stream.

Speed is an underrated control for wallpapers specifically. A great deal of stock footage is shot or exported faster than is comfortable behind a desktop: clouds that race, traffic that streams, water that churns. Slowed to a fraction of its original pace, the same clip stops competing for attention and becomes something you can work in front of.

Making it per display matters because screens are used differently. A main display you look at all day wants calm. A secondary screen you glance at occasionally can carry more movement without becoming a distraction.

The application version is now shown in the menu bar too, which is a small thing that saves a trip into Settings every time you need it.

Ten Languages

Wallper is now fully localized in English, Chinese, Russian, French, Italian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean and German.

Every interface element and every guide is translated, not only the menus. Half-localized software is arguably worse than software in one language, because it invites you in and then abandons you at the settings screen, which is precisely where being able to read matters most.

Wallpapers were always a universal thing. There is no reason the app around them should have been English only for as long as it was.

Playback and Discovery

The rendering pipeline was optimized further for stability, addressing unexpected pauses during playback and producing more consistent behaviour across Mac hardware. A bug hiding some official wallpapers was also fixed, so the core library is fully visible again.

The preview system was largely rebuilt for consistent loading and reliable thumbnail caching, and there are new sorting options for organising what you have.

This release also introduces a refined app icon, the first step of the next phase of Wallper's visual identity.
