Acceptable Use Policy
What is and is not allowed when using Wallper, including the public wallpaper gallery.
Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) sets out what is and is not permitted when using Wallper, including the macOS application, the public wallpaper gallery, our APIs, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to follow this Policy. We may update it as needed and will publish the latest version on this page.
Prohibited Content
You may not upload, submit, share, or otherwise distribute through the Service any content that falls into the categories below. This applies to wallpapers, thumbnails, descriptions, tags, comments, and any associated metadata.
- Pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise NSFW material.
- Content depicting or sexualizing minors in any form.
- Content promoting hatred, violence, terrorism, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar grounds.
- Racist, xenophobic, or extremist propaganda or symbols.
- Content depicting graphic violence, gore, self-harm, or animal cruelty.
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights of others (e.g., unlicensed brand logos, copyrighted art, screenshots from copyrighted media used without permission).
- Personal data of others without their consent (doxxing, phone numbers, addresses, IDs).
- Malware, malicious code, or content designed to deceive, phish, or compromise other users.
Prohibited Conduct
- Using the Service to engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
- Attempting to bypass licensing, authentication, or anti-fraud mechanisms.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or extracting source code or assets from the app, except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Scraping the public gallery or APIs at a rate or scale that disrupts normal operation.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing Wallper or any part of the Service without prior written consent.
- Sharing license keys with unauthorized parties or activating a license on more than three (3) devices.
- Interfering with the operation, integrity, or security of the Service or other users’ use of it.
Public Gallery Submissions
Wallpapers submitted to the public gallery are reviewed before publication. We may, at our sole discretion, reject or remove submissions that violate this Policy or that we believe are otherwise inappropriate for the platform.
- Only upload content you created yourself or have all necessary rights and permissions to share.
- Do not upload content that is misleading about authorship or origin.
- Approved content remains subject to removal if a violation is later identified or reported.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior on the Service that you believe violates this Policy, please report it to support@wallper.app. Where possible, include a link, screenshot, or description so we can investigate efficiently.
Copyright complaints should follow our DMCA / Copyright procedure.
Enforcement
We may take any action we consider appropriate to enforce this Policy, including but not limited to those listed below. Enforcement decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and may be made without prior notice where required to protect users, the Service, or third parties.
- Removing or restricting access to content.
- Suspending or terminating affected licenses or access to the Service.
- Refusing future submissions or sales to repeat offenders.
- Preserving and disclosing information to law enforcement where required by law.
Feedback & Information
