Wallper 1.1.1: Menu Bar Colour Across Spaces, and Reliable Waking

The menu bar icon now stays in sync as you move between Spaces, windows open where they should, and wallpapers restore properly after sleep and unlock.
Every release has a theme, and this one is corners.
None of what follows is a feature. It is a list of places where Wallper was very slightly wrong in ways that were individually forgettable and collectively made the app feel less finished than it was.
The Menu Bar and Spaces
The menu bar icon adapts to the colour behind it, which is how a menu bar item is meant to behave on macOS. It was doing that on a delay, and only sometimes across Spaces.
Move to a Space with a light wallpaper and the icon would stay in its dark-background form for a moment before catching up. Not broken, but visibly a beat behind everything else on the screen, and macOS holds a high standard here because every one of Apple's own menu bar items gets this right instantly.
The colour now adapts immediately and stays correct across Spaces.
Things Opening Where They Should
Wallpapers now default to centred positioning. Previously the default could leave footage offset for no reason anyone could explain, which meant the first thing many people did with a new wallpaper was reposition it.
The main window also opens centred. It had been appearing in odd places, particularly on multi-display setups, occasionally most of the way off the edge of a screen. Combined with window position memory from 1.0.8, the app now opens where you would expect every time.
The NEW Badge Learns to Leave
The green NEW dot marking recent additions now fades after a few seconds and does not come back after a restart.
Previously it persisted, and returned on every launch, which meant a permanent unread marker on content you had already seen. Notification badges that never clear stop being information and become decoration you learn to ignore, which is exactly what you do not want from the mechanism telling you the library has grown.
Sleep, Unlock and Switching
Wallpapers restore reliably after sleep and unlock. This was the release where waking your Mac stopped being a moment where the wallpaper might or might not return.
Some Macs continued to see a related problem in specific circumstances, which was tracked down and fixed properly much later in 1.3.6.
There is also less stutter when switching wallpapers rapidly, and lower memory use during preview generation. Both were most visible while browsing quickly, which is when people form their impression of whether an app is fast.
